ALTEK, under an exclusive agreement with RPC-MHD of Krasnoyarsk, Russia, presents SIBER FORCE®, the most versatile and cost-effective magneto-hydrodynamic (MHD) induction stirring system (sometimes known as Electromagnetic Stirring (EMS)) available to the aluminum industry. Retrofits to existing aluminium furnaces are a simple and cost-effective means of increasing productivity while reducing both fuel consumption and dross generation. The equipment is manufactured in the UK to International standards.
SIBER FORCE systems ensure rapid temperature and chemical homogeneity throughout the melt - maximizing quality and aluminum yield. Return on investment can be less than one year, depending on the application.
Unlike other electromagnetic stirring systems, the SIBER FORCE® inductor is 100% air cooled and does not require an expensive water circulating and cooling system.
The system is fitted on the exterior of the furnace, is non contact and therefore makes its stirring effect on the metal through a stainless steel plate and full refractory thickness of the furnace hearth or wall. This makes the unit very reliable and can be switched on or off at any time in the cycle with no detrimental effect to the inductor.
