Its use allows toimprove water resistance at a limited raw material cost.CERFOBOL R/75 can be easily diluted, but it can be sensitive to high dilutions with very hard waters.CERFOBOL R/75 has been studied to be used in plastic finishes and in hydrorepellent emulsion paints,where it is added after the pigment dispersion step or after the addition of emulsion resins. After theapplication the product flows at the film surface forming a thin layer, which, after drying, shows anexcellent hydrorepellence, without modifying the vapour permeability of the coating. In this way, betterwater resistance is obtained, and the adhesion of the atmospheric dust is reduced, with benefits on the filmappearance.Excellent results can be obtained by using 1%-2% of CERFOBOL R/75 on the total weight of therenderings.For outdoor emulsion paints it is necessary to increase the amount to 3-4%, particularly in absence ofextenders with water repellent surface treatment.STORAGEAt normal temperature conditions CERFOBOL R/75 is stable for long periods
